The return of skinny jeans is anticipated by fashion editors. The ’90s-fixated part of me won’t let go of baggy jeans, even when Celine is supporting them and Gisele Bündchen is sporting them once more as though it’s 2003. (To be honest, that period of fashion was amazing.) I want to be able to swim in my jeans, so put on some puddle pants. Finding nice roomy pants is significantly more difficult if you’re not a size 2, despite how easy Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber make it look. When it comes to loose-fitting jeans, I’m happy to say that it does get easier, since I previously detailed the process of purchasing denim when you have a curvier figure.
I found some important pointers after trying on dozens of pairs: Baggy jeans and wide-leg jeans are always preferable. In the end, these silhouettes will do a better job of framing and covering the body than narrower sizes. Don’t be scared to size up, though! To achieve the carefree “off-duty model” appearance I adore, some of my favourite jeans are two sizes too big. Additionally, bear in mind this sizing guideline, particularly for hard denim, as the fabric does not accept curves as stretchier denim does.
Finally, don’t be scared to get your pants tailored. To guarantee the optimum fit, a lot of my stylist friends regularly have their Baggy Jeans altered. I’ve put together a list of my current favourite jeans to get the cool-girl loose-denim style now that you know the shortcuts to finding a fantastic pair. The good news is that most of these look great just the way they are and don’t need to be tailored further. See my suggestions by scrolling down.
Cary High Rise Slouchy Wide Leg Jeans
The good news for those of us who adore Reformation denim is that most people are unaware of its quality. Reformation is more than just adorable sundresses and linen trousers. This style became my favourite once I tried on its denim during a casual shopping trip. Because they are designed to be slouchy, they give off a relaxed vibe without appearing sloppy, and they hug my waist nicely with almost no gapping.
Baggy Dad Jeans
I’ll confess something that may cause controversy: I don’t like Levi’s 501s. They’re neither too tight nor too loose around the waist, and they simply don’t fit my hips and butt right. When a traditional style doesn’t fit your body, it can be frustrating. However, I’m not concerned because I’ve discovered the Baggy Dad Jeans, which are my ideal pair. They fit loosely, which is both comfortable and stylish. Sometimes, even if it’s not the classic favourite, it’s just about figuring out what suits your shape the best.
Wilder High Rise Wide Leg Jeans
According to Reformation’s website, it’s a good idea to size up because these Baggy Jeans are tight around the waist. You can get extra comfort without compromising style by going up a size. Just add a belt to keep the fit tight and attractive. By making this minor change, you may make sure the jeans complement your outfit. When companies offer fit advice like this in their product descriptions, it’s always beneficial. You can avoid difficulty with size by being aware of these details in advance. Confidence and comfort go hand in hand, and a belt connects the two!
Camilla High-Rise Balloon Jeans
This serves as a reminder to check out Mango’s denim line. From the fabric quality to the attractive silhouettes and the variety of washes, I’m constantly in awe of how amazing its jeans are. Mango is a master at delivering style without sacrificing budget. The cherry on top is that the majority of its Baggy Jeans are priced under $100. It demonstrates that excellent denim doesn’t have to be expensive. Mango should be at the top of your list if you’re searching for fashionable yet reasonably priced solutions. I promise it’s worth a look!
Snacks! the Kegger Skimp in Check Please
You’re really missing out if you’re a curvaceous female and haven’t tried Mother denim. This brand accounts for half of my whole denim collection’s top five pairs. Mother stands out from the competition thanks to its spacious size, which is revolutionary. Their Snacks! line, which debuted last year and completely embraces the enormous trend, is another one of my favourites. Anyone who like a laid-back yet fashionable atmosphere will love the exaggerated slouchy styles. Brands that are so good at both fit and style are hard to come by. Mother is worth the investment, I promise!
Curve Love Relaxed Jean
You know if you do. Some of the greatest jeans available are produced by Abercrombie. Abercrombie has become one of the most popular denim brands on the internet, though it’s hard to say exactly when it captured the hearts and minds of the TikTok community. Its Curve Love collection, which consists of jeans with a little smaller waist and more room around the hips and back, is what I personally adore. Those adjustments to proportion are crucial when dealing with curves.
Low-Slung Baggy Jeans
A discussion of denim wouldn’t be complete without bringing up Madewell. Like Abercrombie, Madewell offers a well-considered design with a nipped waist and additional room around the hips to accommodate curved bodies. Because of this, their jeans are comfy and attractive, which is difficult to find. Although I’ve never been a big fan of low-rise jeans, Madewell’s interpretation of the trend totally won me over. They have succeeded in making them fashionable and wearable without compromising fit. It’s evidence that anyone can be won over by a well-made pair of jeans. You should put Madewell on your list if you’re curvaceous and haven’t tried them yet!
Fusion Jeans
I’ve tried on a number of Agolde jeans, but my favourite are the Fusion Jeans. The Fusion Jeans are purposefully baggy, providing a loose, roomy fit, in contrast to other Agolde models that have a tendency to hug my thighs. They are my preferred option since they achieve the ideal harmony between cool and comfort. Despite being extremely elegant, the looser silhouette seems effortless. These are a must-try for anyone who enjoys a more relaxed look in their jeans. Finding a pair that doesn’t sacrifice style or fit is refreshing. The Fusion Baggy Jeans are genuinely exceptional!
Annina Trouser Jeans
These Baggy Jeans are very versatile for styling since, as the picture shows, they taper at the ankle. The slimmer cut is ideal for wearing with heels, giving your ensemble a refined and elegant look. Additionally, they fit perfectly without bunching and look great with tall boots. If you want jeans that go well with both casual and dressy outfits, this silhouette is a fantastic choice. They are a wardrobe must for every season because of the slender ankle detail. These jeans are perfect whether you want to look stylish or carefree. They serve as evidence that minor things can have a significant impact!
Good ’90s Relaxed Jeans
Although I also adore the low-rise version of these jeans, I’m far too partial to high-waisted designs to pass on this pair. Particularly when I want to dress up my appearance, the high waist feels comfortable and creates such a lovely silhouette. For a laid-back night out, I prefer wearing them with heels since it makes the jeans look more put together without sacrificing ease. These jeans seem fashionable and trendy thanks to their slim cut and high waist. Depending on the situation, they can be dressed up or down. These Baggy Jeans strike the ideal mix between comfort and style, in my opinion. Without a doubt, they deserve a place in my closet!
AG Jeans
Stella
I strongly suggest this pair from AG if you have more money. They feel robust and opulent, which is a comfort if, like me, you’ve ever had holes in your pants from wear and tear. These Baggy Jeans’ quality is unquestionably long-lasting. Regarding fit, their extremely wide legs give them a palazzo-pants feel instead of a ’90s aesthetic. The overall style is still effortlessly cool and fashionably baggy, even with the wider cut. It’s the type of jean that has a timeless yet contemporary appearance. These are worth taking into consideration if you want to spend money on a stylish, long-lasting pair!
Baggy High Waist Wide Leg Dad Jeans
One of the most popular fashion combinations at the moment is pointed-toe heels and puddle trousers, and I’ve been searching for the ideal pair to complete the ensemble. I discovered this pair from Topshop at that point. They look great with heels and offer the perfect wide-leg fit. You should order a size higher for a more comfortable fit if you have curves, though, because these are composed of stiff denim. When the size is appropriate, they will produce that effortlessly stylish puddle effect. It strikes the ideal mix between being current and classic. These trousers are a must-have if you like this style!
Paloma Baggy Jeans
This duo is another one of my favourites from Citizens of Humanity. They have a ’70s look that I adore because they’re bigger than the Annina Baggy Jeans I mentioned before. The classic silhouette and wide fit are ideal for adding that vintage flair. In addition to being quite comfortable, the larger leg makes them fashionable and current. For anyone wishing to express some vintage glitz with a contemporary twist, this is a fantastic choice. The ’70s is one of my favourite fashion eras, therefore I’m not angry about the inspiration. I’ve already made these jeans a wardrobe mainstay!
Mica No Wasitband Jeans
The most important feature of these pants is the waistline. Its flawless design provides a comfortable yet attractive fit by hugging the waist without being overly tight. I adore how it creates a definite form without causing discomfort or digging by cinching just the correct amount. There is no need to constantly adjust the jeans because of the waistband’s structure, which keeps them in place throughout the day. In denim, it’s little things like these that really make a difference. The overall fit and feel of the Baggy Jeans can be greatly improved with a well-made waistband. Jeans like this help you appreciate the small things in life!
Mica Wide Leg Jeans
Dark-wash Baggy Jeans are incredibly durable. They may be dressed up or down for any occasion because to their timeless, adaptable style. They seem sleek and sophisticated because to their deep, rich colour, which goes well with practically anything. Because of the slimming effect and leg elongation caused by the dark wash, they are also quite attractive. Dark-wash jeans are a wardrobe essential that never goes out of style. They always look effortlessly stylish whether you pair them with a blazer or a t-shirt. It’s no surprise they’ve been a wardrobe staple for so long!
Loose Long Jeans
These trousers have the ideal puddle ankle. It nevertheless looks fashionable and purposeful while evoking a calm, easygoing atmosphere. They stand out because to the easy, stylish touch that the fabric’s small pooling around the ankles adds. It’s a small element that adds a sense of movement and fluidity to the entire ensemble. The puddle ankle looks great with trainers or heels, depending on the situation. A more fitted top contrasts well with the looser fit around the leg. Because of how comfortable and stylish it is, this look has swiftly become one of my favourites.
The Way-High Curve Jean
One of the reasons I adore Everlane’s jeans is that they are all designed with curves in mind. The brand offers fits that are comfortable and flattering, taking into account various body forms. Everlane ensures that their Baggy Jeans hug in all the right areas, whether it’s by adding a little stretched fabric or a more defined waistline. As a result, the silhouette is smooth and attractive and the jeans don’t gape or dig in at the waist. I also like that they provide a variety of styles that are made to accentuate curves, ranging from wide-leg to narrow. Everlane’s jeans are definitely worth looking at if you have a curvier figure. They are a perfect blend of comfort, fit, and style!
