Even though Jamie Salter enjoys negotiating, his family is what matters most to him in the end.
Thus, it is fitting that the National Father’s Day Council will recognise the founder, chairman, and CEO of Authentic Brands Group as one of the recipients of its Father of the Year award.
At a luncheon held at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel on June 13, Jamie Salter will be presented with the honour. The event will generate funds for two charitable organisations: Boys Hope Girls Hope New York, which offers individualised academic support and services to break the cycle of poverty and empower young scholars, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, a mentoring network that builds positive relationships that have a lasting impact on the lives of young people.
Nate Burleson, cohost of “CBS Mornings,” will anchor the luncheon.
Dan Orwig, president and CEO of The Father’s Day/Mother’s Day Council, said, “We are proud to honour such a well-regarded, powerhouse leader within the retail community.” “This year’s event will honour hardworking fathers and their many accomplishments, as we are reminded every year of the passion and dedication that goes into leading a business while balancing the commitments of family life and philanthropy.”
