In partnership with Lilly Pulitzer’s daughters, Liza and Minnie, a unique Lilly Pulitzer capsule has been created.
The line, named “Barefoot in Paradise Capsule,” honours the late Lilly Pulitzer, who disliked wearing shoes. It will be available starting on Wednesday. With colours and patterns that recall the spirit of Palm Beach, Florida, the 14-piece collection perfectly captures the essence of carefree resort living. At the age of 81, Lilly Pulitzer passed away on April 7, 2013.
The brand, which was acquired by Oxford Industries in 2010, is commemorating its 65th year of operation with the release of this collector’s edition. Throughout the course of the brand’s existence, Pulitzer’s fashion designs have been influenced by both of her daughters. In the early 1980s, the junior line “Liza by Lilly Pulitzer” and the children’s collection “Minnies” were both created.
In an interview, Liza Pulitzer revealed that she spent several years designing the Liza junior collection with her mother in the early 1980s. The sisters are not employed by the business. Liza Pulitzer has worked in real estate, while Minnie Pulitzer is an artist.

Liza Pulitzer spoke about the inspiration behind the capsule, saying, “We had some wonderful conversations with the company when they approached us last summer.” It was our goal to make something that we would all love and be comfortable wearing for ourselves, our family, and our children and grandchildren.
“Lilly Pulitzer has always done a phenomenal line geared towards Lilly lovers,” the speaker stated. They desired the liberty to create what they are passionate about. Their goal was to create swimwear, sarongs, soft cottons, skirts and trousers with spacious pockets. “It was a lot of fun to do,” Liza Pulitzer remarked.
Minnie Lilly Pulitzer went on to say that she adores sarongs. “I wear it with a T-shirt, I wear it over my bathing suit, I wear it as a dress, I use it as a towel on the beach chair, and I wear it over my shoulders for a pop of colour in the evening,” the woman explained.
Liza Pulitzer featured white pants in one of her favourite outfits. “I’ve always loved white pants and thought wearing white on white would be a great look. You can tell it’s a Lilly by the larger waistline of the jeans. You can see a flowery pattern on it, and it’s off-white on top of dazzling white,” she remarked.

In addition, they’re thrilled with the deep-pocketed palazzo pants, the linen dress with long sleeves, the bikini, the long-sleeve swimsuit and the one-piece swimsuit with the bows in the back. The line will be labelled Lilly Pulitzer, but it will also have a unique hangtag from their collaboration, “Barefoot in Paradise With Minnie and Liza Pulitzer.”
The capsule can be purchased at lillypulitzer.com for between $68 and $278 at retail.
According to Liza Pulitzer, they collaborated closely with Mira Fain, the executive vice president of design and a longtime employee of Lilly Pulitzer for eighteen years. Liza Pulitzer remarked, “She was great to work with, really, really great,” adding that the celebration of the capsule took place at the Lilly Pulitzer boutique on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach on Tuesday night.
Growing up, their mother was a hardworking mother, according to Liza Pulitzer. “Even when Mom first started sewing her own small clothes for herself, she was always working. Every time, she would dragged Minnie and me to her seamstress. Liza Pulitzer recalled, “She would always bring us along, throw us in the car, and come back with bolts of fabric from the dime store.”
They would also go to the Miami plant with their mother. “Mom always had these amazing books with all the trimmings and eyelet. And in those books, we would play. She would be covering everything with these eyelet swatches. The first thing we thought about when we saw this stunning caftan was, “There has to be amazing eyelet and side slits,” said Liza Pulitzer.
The two sisters reside a few blocks apart in Palm Beach and are always dressed in Lilly Pulitzer clothes. Liza Pulitzer stated that she and Minnie get up every morning at six a.m. to take Liza’s dog for a stroll on the beach, which served as the idea for the collection. They consistently unearth stunning shells. The shell print “just resonated with us” when they saw it.
We were utterly delighted with it. With the flowers, we really wanted to honour mum as well’, Liza Pulitzer remarked. She claimed that after mastering the blue and white, they focused on the hues that held special meaning for them.
